Payment policy

Available payment choices

The current public booking form offers Pay to driver, Card (pay to driver), and Cabcharge/TTSS. These payments are handled by the driver or operator; the website does not currently offer online card checkout. The selected method is shown before submission.

A non-cash payment surcharge of up to 5% (incl. GST) may apply. This applies only if website-processed card payment becomes available. The exact amount would be disclosed before you authorize payment, and no website surcharge is added to Pay to Driver, Card (pay to driver), or Cabcharge/TTSS.

Online card authorization

Online card checkout is currently unavailable on the public booking form. If enabled, the payment review will show the formula-based ride-fare estimate, any configured online card surcharge and its percentage, and the exact total Stripe will authorize. The authorization would reserve that disclosed amount and be captured when the submitted ride is marked completed.

Card authorizations are time-limited. If online checkout is offered, it is limited to eligible pickups within the next six days. Your bank may show an authorization as pending and controls how quickly a released authorization disappears.

Pay to driver, Card, and Cabcharge

Pay to driver and Card (pay to driver) are both settled directly with the driver or operator at the end of the trip. Card means using the driver's card terminal, not paying on this website. For Cabcharge/TTSS, present the applicable card, account, or voucher to the driver or operator. The website does not process these payments and adds no website online-payment surcharge to them. A lawful, separately disclosed driver or operator charge may still apply.

Amount and fare changes

If online card checkout becomes available, its payment review will distinguish Estimated ride fare, any applicable Online card surcharge with its configured percentage, and Amount authorized online before authorization. Stripe would authorize the exact disclosed total, not a range. The accepted amount would settle the submitted booking inputs.

A pricing-related customer change to an authorized booking requires cancellation or release and a newly disclosed authorization, or an explicit post-capture payment/refund adjustment. General admin setting changes never alter a stored booking snapshot.

Cancellation, failed payment, and release

If an eligible booking is cancelled before capture, the website requests cancellation or release of the Stripe authorization. Dispatch may reject a request if payment cannot be authorized. If capture fails, the booking record identifies the failure for follow-up. Refund and cancellation rights are explained on the dedicated Refund and Cancellation policy pages.

Payment security and questions

When online card checkout is available, Stripe hosts it and handles card details; this website does not store full card numbers. Contact book@silverairporttaxi.com.au or 1300 631 220 with your booking reference if you have a payment question or believe an incorrect website charge occurred.
